Robert “Bob” Reeves, 68, of Lovington passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
A service to celebrate Bob’s life will be 11:00 am Saturday January 8, 2011 at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Mt. Zion. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday January 7, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery in Decatur. Bob was born on June 29, 1942 in Decatur the son of Charles and Margaret Maxine Boyd Reeves. Bob worked for Boland Electric for 37 years, when it became Springfield Electric; he worked for 9 years and then retired. Bob’s early hobbies included raising rabbits, raising cattle and team roping. He loved drag racing and fishing. Bob was an avid and competitive golfer winning numerous tournaments and trophies. Bob’s first hole in one was at the Kingsbarns Golf Course in Scotland, he had a picture painted of that hole on Kingsbarns Golf Course.
Bob is survived by his two sons: Cody T. Reeves of Moweaqua and Clint A. Reeves and wife Michelle of Macomb; his brother Terry A. Reeves and wife Mary Kay of Oakley; grandchildren Cory T. Reeves of Moweaqua, Madison Reeves and Cale Reeves both of Macomb; nephews Trent and Matthew Reeves; his former wife Pamela Reeves of Decatur.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Gwen and one brother Danny.

I'll always remember Bob as one filled with conversation and smiles. I am privileged to have known him most of my life and sorry we lost him this soon. Cody and Clint, my deepest condolences to you and your families during these tough times.
